Park Regis is a 4-star hotel in the centre of Birmingham. It has over 250 guest rooms and great facilities for businesses. These include the impressive Sky Loft with 360-degree views of Birmingham City Centre. The facilities make it a great choice for people travelling for work and for fun. In 2025, TripAdvisor gave the hotel the Traveler’s Choice Award. 

Moremicro were responsible for designing and installing the hotel IT infrastructure. Delivering fast, secure and seamless access for staff and guests was essential.

Technology at scale

Moremicro’s analysts built the Park Regis’ hotel infrastructure from the ground up. The first task was to set up a super-fast guest Wi-Fi.

This important feature is available for free throughout the hotel. The system was set up to ensure it didn’t impact the performance of any device on-site. 

As the hotel hosts large events it’s important that the Wi-Fi has enough capacity. The system makes it possible to send bandwidth where it’s needed most.  

The hotel also needed a phone system that could manage the large number of guest rooms and offices. Under 4-star standards it’s necessary for each guest room to have its own direct line to reception. Using the PBX system means it’s possible to integrate it with other systems. Plans are underway to use it to provide enhanced guest services.  

Working with Park Regis management, Moremicro has developed ways to increase customer interactions. One example is the introduction of smart TVs in guest rooms. These run current hotel offers and promote the wide range of facilities on offer.
